Training manager Bob Kell spoke to training program graduates, family and friends on April 28, 2013:

“I heard a commercial the other day in which the person was speaking about the care he gave to his animals. The music and the scenery marketed a strong message that the product was better because of the heart that went into it.

As graduates of this training program, you too are starting a journey as producers. In the end, this is not just about making money. It is about a commitment to a set of values. You are committing to care for the earth, to provide the birds with a kind of care that is more humane, to bring food to others’ table that is healthier, more natural and unique.

If you decide to go forward with Main Street Project or on your own, we hope that these values remain as part of how you do business. It is what will set you apart. It will give you reason to be proud of what you do. We congratulate you and wish you well on the journey that lies before you.”
